🔴 Petition Against the Proposed Budget Cut to Medical Acupuncture in California’s 2025-2026 Budget

The California State Government has proposed a budget cut to Medical Acupuncture services in its 2025-2026 budget plan.

If this proposal is passed:

Thousands of seniors and low-income patients may lose access to essential acupuncture treatments.

Benefits currently provided through ASH (American Specialty Health), Kaiser Medical, LA Care, SCAN, and various IPAs may be discontinued.

Licensed acupuncturists could see a reduction in income by 20% to 70%.

Patients’ rights to accessible and effective treatments will be severely compromised.

💥 In response, the following organizations are uniting to strongly oppose this budget cut and are submitting formal statements and petitions to the Governor and State Legislature:

🔹 California Acupuncture Coalition (CAC)
🔹 AKAMAC (Association of Korean Asian Medicine & Acupuncture of California)
🔹 CSOMA (California State Oriental Medical Association)
🔹 AACMA (American Association of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture)
🔹 Legal and lobbying teams

💥 This petition is being delivered to Governor Gavin Newsom, Senate President Scott Wiener, Assembly Speaker Jesse Gabriel, members of the Medical Budget and Fiscal Review Committee, and over 120 officials at the Department of Health & Human Services.

🔴 But YOUR signature is urgently needed!

Whether you are a patient, family member, healthcare provider, friend, or part of a religious or community group — your support matters.
